How often will there be practices?
The marching band meets for two-three weeks of band camp before school begins. During the marching season, the band practices 2-3 days per week after school. During concert season, the band will practice after school 1-2 times per week before MPA and the spring concert. Mr. Robinson always notifies students and parents of practice schedules in advance. Check your email, the website, and the Yahoo Group for information.
When will the band perform?
During the fall semester, the marching band will perform at football games, FBA, and possibly a competition. They also march in the Deltona Day Parade. There is usually a winter concert. In the spring semester, the concert band performs for MPA as well as other concerts. The jazz band performs at various functions. There may be other performance opportunities throughout the year.
Why does my son/daughter need to pay band fees?
There are many costs associated with being in band. There are fees for the music and show that students perform. The uniforms must be cleaned and repaired. There are costs for transportation of students and instruments.
What if we cannot pay the band fee all at once?
At the beginning of band camp, students receive an information packet. Within you will find a payment schedule

Is there any way to supplement the band fee?
The fundraising committee provides many opportunities for students to raise funds throughout the year. A percentage will go towards their band fees. Sponsors are also another great way to earn money. It is important that every student has an opportunity to play. Where there is a will, there is a way.
How do I know how much is in my student’s account?
The treasurer keeps a record of student accounts. These can be made available at any time on request with reasonable notice.
Who are the band boosters?
The band boosters are the parents who support the activities of the Pine Ridge High School Band. They organize and chaperone events and fundraisers. They pull the trailer, hand out uniforms and water, and complete many other necessary tasks throughout the year.
How do I find out what is going on?
We try to provide many opportunities for parents to stay informed. Come to the monthly booster meetings, read your email (make sure you provide the boosters with a valid address), and check harms, the website and Facebook for information. Finally, if you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact the band director or one of the board members.
When are the general booster meetings?
The 3rd Thursday of every month at 7PM in the PRHS band room. The executive board and committees will have separate meetings.
